Information You Send
Search fields may receive a name, phone number, or address through the third-party service that supplies the results. The site operator does not keep a copy of those searches as a personal search history. A message sent through the Contact page includes whatever details the sender chooses to provide, and those details are used to answer the message.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time stamps. Those logs support security, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and basic service operation. Cookies or similar tools may be used for analytics or advertising measurement when a provider has enabled them. The operator does not use these routine logs to create a personal resident profile.
How Limited Data Is Used
Information is used to operate pages, respond to messages, understand aggregate traffic, address technical faults, and improve the reference. The site does not sell a visitor list or maintain an account profile for readers. If a service provider needs technical log data to host or secure the pages, it may process that data for that limited purpose.
Links Leave This Service
Pages link to ARCC, San Diego County GIS, the City of San Marcos, the Superior Court, state agencies, libraries, archives, and outside search providers. A linked custodian controls its own form, records, cookies, privacy notice, and retention practices. Sponsored search results are supplied by a third party, so information entered there is governed by that provider's terms rather than this policy.
Who May Process Logs
Hosting, security, analytics, and advertising providers may receive ordinary technical data described above. The operator may disclose information when a valid legal demand requires it, to protect the service, or to address abuse. No disclosure here changes the fact that an official public record belongs to the government office, court, library, or archive that holds it.
Security and Retention
The pages use an encrypted connection where supported by the host. Technical logs are retained only as long as needed for the stated operating, security, and measurement purposes. There are no reader accounts on the site, so the service does not maintain a password or user profile for ordinary visitors.
Readers Under Eighteen
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly seek personal information from anyone under eighteen. A parent or guardian who believes a minor sent information to the contact mailbox may write through the Contact page so the operator can review and remove what it controls.
California Privacy Rights
California's Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, including Civil Code section 1798.100 and following provisions, give qualifying consumers rights to know, delete, correct, limit certain sensitive-data uses, and opt out of sale or sharing by covered businesses. Those laws do not command a county, city, court, or state custodian to erase a public record it must retain. They also do not turn this reference into the custodian of a record found through a link.
California's Delete Act and the state's DROP system provide a separate data-broker deletion process for qualifying requests. A consumer should use the broker's privacy channel or the current California Privacy Protection Agency process, share only the authentication information reasonably required, and save the confirmation. The Secretary of State's Safe at Home eligibility guidance and agency compliance guidance describe a separate substitute-address and confidential-voter program. To ask what this service controls, use the Contact page.
Changes to This Policy
If the service or its data practices change, a revised policy will be posted here. The effective wording is the version displayed on the page at the time of use. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
